Hi, I’m Brett and I’m a 30yo gay guy living in Queensland, Australia. I started this blog back in 2011 after my friend, Brittany, opened my eyes to enormous world of reading was missing. I don’t think I had picked up a book other than a Charmed or Sabrina tv tie-in before then. That’s changed quite a bit. I enjoy YA as it’s exciting, inventive and usually has a kick-ass lead.

When I’m not reading, I’m probably working out or binge watching some thai BL show or the occasional anime. I loved Yuri on Ice and Samurai Flamenco. I’m also a kpop addict. I think I made the switch from American music back around the time I started blogging. Blackpink, BTS and 2NE1 are just a few of my favourites.

I try and read as often as I can, though it’s hard when you get stuck on a book that’s just not working for you. I’m one of those people that has to finish things, so I try my hardest to make it to the end. My favourite genres have long included urban fantasy and the paranormal, but I’m really into contemporaries now. I need something that hooks me and I’ve found that these kinds of books usually do. Of course, that doesn’t mean I’ll love everything, but I try and steer myself towards books that I think I will.
