Hi, I’m Brett, a book blogger from Queensland, Australia.

Demons Read Too began back in 2011 after my best friend, Brittany, introduced me to the enormous world of books I’d been missing out on. Before that, I don’t think I’d read much beyond the occasional Charmed or Sabrina tie-in novel. Safe to say my reading tastes have expanded a little since then.

Over the years, this little corner of the internet has grown alongside me. While young adult fiction remains close to my heart, these days I read a bit of everything. Urban fantasy and the paranormal first drew me in, but contemporary fiction has steadily earned its place among my favourites too. More than anything, I love books that hook me from the first chapter and leave me thinking about them long after I’ve turned the final page.

When I’m not reading, you’ll usually find me watching Thai BL dramas, catching up on the latest reels my husband has sent me, or disappearing down a K-pop rabbit hole. I’ve been a K-pop fan since the early 2010s, with groups like 2NE1, MAMAMOO, ATEEZ and Stray Kids among my long-time favourites. I’m always open to recommendations, whether they’re books, dramas, or the next song I can’t stop replaying.

I’m also one of those readers who rarely gives up on a book once I’ve started it. Even when something isn’t quite working for me, I’ll usually stick with it in the hope it surprises me. Not every book becomes a favourite, but I still love the excitement of discovering a story that feels as though it was written just for you.
