I just started this one last night. I’m enjoying it so far. There’s a lot happening but it’s all very mysterious and the romance has been really good, but the constant POV switching is annoying me like it did during the first book. And in case you’re interested, Michael is the angry looking blond and Ronan is the stubbled guy behind him.

Ronan didn’t hear Michael enter the bathroom. The shower water was running and he was singing, slightly off-key. He only knew someone was there when the shower curtain was pulled back. “Crikey, Michael!” Ronan cried. “Do you want to give me a heart attack?”
“Vampires can’t have heart attacks,” Michael said. “Can they?”
“No, love, they can’t,” Ronan answered. He then became very self-conscious that he was standing in the shower completely naked except for a few blotches of soapsuds that clung to his body, and Michael was fully clothed. “Is there, um, something I can help you with?”

I’m almost finished this one. I’ve been racing through the series at moment so I should be moving on to Forever tomorrow. I’m in love with these characters and this temperature-sensitive world of werewolves.

I crept into the bed, the sheets cool under my hands as I edged towards the side of the mattress that met the wall. The hall went dark and I heard Sam sigh – a weighty, shaky sigh – before I heard the floorboards creak with his steps. The room was just light enough for me to see the edge of his shoulders as he climbed into the bed with me.

I’m really getting into this one. I love that chocolate is against the law and that people need to hide their stashes in safes. But really it’s the characters that I’m enjoying so much. Can’t wait to keep going with this, I should have it finished and reviewed in the next day or so.

“What did you do wrong?”
“Multiple choice,” he said. “A. A few choice comments I made in Theology. B. Headmaster wants to have a chat with the new kid about wearing hats in school. C. My schedule. I’m just too darn smart for my classes. D. My eyewitness account of the girl who poured lasagna over her boyfriend’s head. E. Headmaster’s leaving her husband and wants to run away with me. F. None of the above. G. All of the above.”

I’m almost half way through this and I’m finding it really repetitive. I like the plot that this one’s going with, but something new really needs to happen soon.

Luce waited for his wings to unfurl. She waited for the soft thunder of their grand unfolding, opening wide and catching the air in awesome glory. She’d seen him take flight like this in the past, and every time, it struck her to her core: How desperately she loved him. But Daniel’s wings never shot out from his back.

I’m only 40% through this so far, but I’m really enjoying the dynamic between the two main characters. There’s a connection, but nothing’s being rushed into. It’s a little weird though shifting between first person for Willow’s chapters and third person for Alex’s.

“You, um…you know about cars,” said Alex. And then felt like an idiot. Way to state the obvious.
Willow gave him a cool look as she brushed her jeans off. “Yeah, go figure. I actually do something that isn’t freaky half-angel stuff.”

I’m a bit late on starting this series but I’m really getting into this one. I don’t normally like the present tense style of writing, but the plot is keeping me interested and our little group of characters are very likeable so that I’m not really noticing.

Nick Colt stands next to my car, all casual, like standing in the ditch is part of his everyday routine. I put down the window. Cold air rushes in. I shiver. “What are you doing here?” I ask, stunned. He saw me scream. He looks like he thinks it’s all funny, his cheek twitching like I’m some big joke. “Is that any way to greet your rescuer?”
