As you can see, my mailbox went into overload this week. Lots of my bookdepository orders arrived (every single book packaged individually), but I still have a couple more I’m waiting on. I went to the city this week with my friend Brittany from Nice Girls Read Books and we stalked all the bookstores we could find. We nearly got stuck in a back alley tow away zone trying to find a park for one of the little independent bookshops. City driving, not fun… On top of the 12 books that arrived in the mail, I grabbed 6 at the shops on impulse and picked up 7 more from the big library in the city. Out of all of these, I’d read six already (Wake, My Soul To Take, Intertwined, Unraveled, Clockwork Angel and Infinity) but I needed them for my collection. I especially love the shiny foil coverslip on Clockwork Angel, it looks great sitting beside my TMI hardbacks.

Link up to your mailbox and I’ll be sure to check it out!

Those are GREAT books! I’m dying to get my hands on Die For Me. I have heard so much about it! Looking forward to your review!

Yes, I’ve been wanting it for a while. Don’t think I’ll get around to it this month though, too many library books. I’ve stopped reserving stuff however. So it’s at the top of my list for July.

  • Good Lord, did you plunder your local bookstore? LOL
I read the first 4 books (I adore Die For Me, reading it for the 3rd time right now), The Girl in the Steel Corset & Clockwork Angel (excellent steampunk^^), White Cat (Holly Black at her best) and Fallen, which was not so much for me…
Happy reading! I’m looking forward to your reviews of the Holt and Kenyon books, never heard of the authors but the covers look gorgeous! πŸ™‚

My Mailbox is coming tomorrow in the usual spot.

I’ve been seeing Girl in the Steel Corset everywhere so I just had to get it to see for myself. I’m starting White Cat this week hopefully. I don’t like the Australian cover for it so I’ll probably have to import it for the one with the guy on the front if I buy it.

I bought those Simon Holt books based soley on the covers, I skimmed through the first chapter though and it does sound alright. The first of the Kenyon books is good, lots of high school jocks turning into zombies.

  • Raimy says:

WOW! amazing amount of books! I think id cry if that many turned up at once though, how did you know where to begin!! lol
    Hope you enjoy!!

It was fun seeing the post van turning up day after day. I had seven packages hidden behind a pot plant on my front porch when I got home Wednesday hehe. I’m a bit annoyed at myself for getting so many library books out though. I want to start reading all the good looking books I’ve been buying but I have no time.

  • Hope you enjoy your massive big pile of books. I loved White Cat by Holly Black, and the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead was awesome!

Love to hear what you think of all these πŸ™‚

  • WOW that’s a big pile o’books.

Each book was delivered individually?! Your mailbox was super busy this week! That’s a lot of books!

  • Great stash. I like your blog.

  • Wow, what a haul! I think your library and bookstores must be out of books now that you’ve been through them! ^-^

I personally am a fan of the AU cover of White Cat over the US one. I love that it looks like crinkly paper and the cat is adorable. (:

    Enjoy your books this week!

WOAH WOAH WOAH. That photo looks amazing with all those books! I love quite a few of these, but Unearthly especially stands out. I love the U.S. cover we have, but I have to admit your Aussie one wins with its prettiness.

Happy reading! Thanks so much for stopping by, I’m your newest follower! πŸ™‚

Go QLDers! I saw the hardbacks of Lauren’s books in Big W and was so tempted but already has the first one in paperback. And yowza!
