Unleashed by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie

Okay, so they’re the same book. I actually love both covers and can’t decide on which one to purchase. I’ve got them both in my cart at the moment, still pondering. The blue one looks a little Fallen-ish, but has that awesome looking full moon up the top. And the green one, it has that eye staring back at you. It reminds of the redesigned cover for Reckless by Cornelia Funke. What are your thoughts?

Elemental Reality by Cesya MaRae Cuono
Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

I haven’t read either of these yet, but I have to say the covers are doing their job extremely well. Elemental Reality uses colours and light gorgeously. I don’t know how anyone could look at that and think that book could be boring. The girl does appear to have lost her legs somewhere along the way though. Under The Never Sky is a 2012 release so there’s still a fair wait for that one. I love the simplicity of this cover. The pink stands out stark against the white. Plus the embracing couple splayed out over the moon is a bit of change from the norm. The tattoo on the guy’s shoulder has a bit of intrigue to it too.

Blood by K.J. Wignall
Everneath by Brodi Ashton

I’m unintentionally colour coordinated this week. Both of these covers just work. I have no idea what the plots are yet, but I’ll be checking them out. The first one has a hot guy with all of his colour washed out, hidden by fog, along with the blood spatters in the corners. It gives it an interestingly creepy vibe. I love it, if I were in store, I’d pick that one up. Everneath drew me in instantly. There are a lot of ‘dress’ covers at the moment, but I love this one especially. The clouds rolling up around her look amazing. I have to say, Red, grey and black works really well together.

The Abused Werewolf Rescue Group by Catherine Jinks
My Soul To Steal by Rachel Vincent

I really like the dark tones used on The Abused Werewolf Rescue Group, the shadowed face with the full moon behind is really cool. It’s also by an Australian author, too. I have the book on my shelf, waiting for me to read it. The red text across the front is brighter and embossed, making it stand out even more than it already does. It matches well with the first book, The Reformed Vampire Support Group. The Soul Screamers book is the fourth in the series. It’s being re-released in these new white covers in the UK. I’ve got the US copies myself, because I love the bright covers and swirling text of each of them. But I am starting to appreciate these new ones. This cover especially. I actually wish I’d bought this one now. The white mist fits perfectly with the blue wings of the butterfly. Grr, why do books need multiple covers.

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

The Iron Knight looks amazing. I love how all the shades of blue work together, as well as the fonts and all of the swirling lines around the edges. And that model, need I say more. That blue eye and shadowed jawline drew me straight in. I really need to read this series. They’ve just been bumped up my to-buy list. I bought Starcrossed last week based on its cover alone. It’s so orange. It really stood out a lot on the store shelves. The title is embossed, as well as the lightning bolt. I had to get it, plus I’m a sucker for books with carry-you-away romance in them.
