Finally my UK copies of Shiver and Forever arrived. I also went and picked Lament and Ballad. I’m going to try and get through as many of Maggie’s books before her workshop at Brisbane Writer’s Festival in September. I can’t wait to go to that. I borrowed Personal Demons off a friend and I’ll be getting to that in September. I’ve heard some not so great things about it, so my expectations aren’t very high, but we’ll see. Bloodspell, Wildefire and Angelfire are ones I ordered from Book Depository and they arrived in only 5 days. I’ve been meaning to order them for a while so it’s good to have them on my shelf. Hopefully I get time to read them soon. I read Black Swan Rising last month when I stumbled across it at my local library. It was one I really enjoyed, so now I finally have myself a copy, plus the recently released sequel The Watchtower. Hopefully it’s just as good. There’s just too many books I want to read that I can’t pick from. If you’ve read any that you think I should put at the top of my list, let me know.

Hooray for Burn Bright!! Really need to finish off the lot of Maggie Stiefvater books I have before her signing and thing at Melbourne Writerโs Fest Iโll be seeing her in. Iโve been really weary of Wildefire hearing so many mixed things about it.

I adore Angelfire! I’m still waiting to get my hands on Wildfire and Bloodspell. Heard great things about both! The Lee Caroll books look interesting. I dont think I’ve heard of those before! And I totally get your “too many angel books” I’ve been trying to spread out my reading as well! Have a good week! ๐

Hey Brett, thanks for your comment. If morgues interest you then you should read My Life As A White Trash Zombie. The main character takes a job in a morgue driving the van that picks up the dead bodies, assisting the pathologist in autopsies, and assisting the ‘death investigator’. Okay, that all sounds very morbid, but its actual a great book with a great main character! She has some great one-liners. ๐

I read Bloodspell, Lament and Wildefire. Bloodspell was really good, Lament was great too, Wildefire was okay (I had an ARC and I enjoyed it, but you won’t see me running to the bookstore for it).
Ballad is in my reading pile and Personal Demons and Black Swan rising are definitely on my wish list ๐
