Posted in "Book Reviews" • 11 Comments
It’s the end of 2011 already so I thought I would compile a list of the Top 15 books that I’ve read throughout the year. The titles link to my reviews for each if you want to check out what I thought about them. They’re ordered by the date in which I read them. It was hard enough narrowing down my favourites to just fifteen without trying to rank them too. Let me know if you’ve read any of these, or feel free to tell me what books you loved in 2011.

Two books a week is enough to get through 100 in a year. But you have to push through even when you get to the books that just feel clunky. Warm Bodies was amazing!! It made me love zombies. I just ordered Highschool Of The Dead on dvd. I can’t wait to start watching it.

I DEFINITELY agree with Forever, Burn Bright and Raised by Wolves (I still need to read the sequel, though). And I really enjoyed All These Things I’ve Done, too. I’ve heard great things about the Demon’s Lexicon series and all of Holly Black’s books, but appallingly I’ve read neither. I think I’ll have to make it a goal in 2012 to catch up on all the amazing releases from previous years that I’ve been too idiotic not to have read already 😛

Oh and by the way? You NEED to read Divergent and Daughter of Smoke and Bone asap. They are both in my favourite reads of all time. I think [okay, just hoping] you’ll love them!

I really need to stop requesting stuff on NetGalley so I can actually get some of my purchased books read. Feels like I’m overloaded at the moment.

Demon’s Lexicon is my favourite series of the year, it inspired my blog title. I got really invested in the characters, so it left me depressed and hungry for any of the shorts she posted on her livejournal during the wait for the third book to be released.

Great list. I really want to read Warm Bodies! But I loved If I Die and White Cat!

  • Geez, I’ve only read City of Fallen Angels and Forever which are completely awesome! I haven’t read the rest but I am pretty sure they are all awesome!! The only book I’ve read from Holly Black is The Spiderwick Chronicles while I’m also dying to read Touch by Jus Accardo!!

Awesome list! Hope you’ve had an awesome year! 🙂

  • I need to get my hands on a copy of Warm Bodies, I’ve only heard fantastic things! I have Burn Bright waiting to read on my shelf, so I’ll have to get to it soon!
    Great List!
